Talks Or War

Talks Or War
After a decade of proxy war now for last couple of years there has been a hype of talks with Taliban in Pakistani politics and military forces. Who are these Taliban? Traditionally speaking it’s a banned extremist outfit, bunch of parasites addicted to suck human blood. Symbolically they can be labelled as living vampires also.
Whoever they are the argument shouldn't be about the physical identity only, rather the mentality that’s the sole inspiration and catalyst for all this bloodshed of innocent Pakistanis. And this mentality exists all over the world, whether ruthless killings and mass murdering in Syria and Iraq by any militant group or government, or the caricatures drawn by an European to incite Muslims worldwide, or in Pakistan, issuing edicts by sects against other sects or Shia and Ahmadiyya genocides.
The right wing school of thought, religious extremists, for instance PMLN, PTI, JUI and JI is of the opinion that talks should thrive at any cost to end this bloodshed, no matter if scores of people lose their lives.
Nevertheless the nexus of these parties' romance with extremism is so deeply bonded that likes of Munawar Hasan and Fazal Ur Rahman never seem to be sorrowful and dejected when these savages slay innocent human lives. Such is their apologetic behaviour that during last week when army launched a few hours' show in N.Waziristan against these extremists, Molvi Samiulhaq withdrew his self-presented services and demanded to seize fire. He reacted like some of his own family members had died (no doubt these mullah have deep relations with them). One wonders why don't they show same concern and agility to respond when these barbarians mercilessly kill unarmed civilians. I wish our so called Islamic clerics weren't that hypocrite.
Moreover, peace, tranquillity and harmony cannot flourish in a society where Munawar Hasan bluntly and openly hails and describes Usama Bin Laden as a protagonist, and this dilemma reminds our nation how blind, dispassionate and impassive we have become. Our foe stands in front of us but still we insist to bury our heads in the sand like an ostrich to avoid the truth and reality.
Although neither i am against talks nor a die hard supporter of war, but the point is, even if a new war is initiated against Taliban who physically exist in N.Waziristan what about The Taliban frame of mind instances in our society like our clergy and certain influential media-evangelists and this list goes on. These are the actual culprits and hate mongers whose minds will keep breeding such beasts. So annihilate this whole species of extremists by launching a widespread operation against them. Otherwise it would be like cutting down only the branches of a tree full of thorns, which eventually will reproduce and nurture same thorns again.
So instead of behaving like a pigeon and satisfying own selves we ought to eradicate this tree of cancer from its roots.
For this reason talks and operation against this mindset should undergo simultaneously. Those who want to surrender let them do it and make them face the music in courts (if courts are competent and capable of it). And those who desire to resist and defy the machinery of government, crush and grind them to ground so this attitude never surfaces again.
Furthermore the lefties who keep screaming "talks shouldn't be allowed", they must remember and revisit history that every war ends with a peace treaty between the two parties, whether it’s a world war or Pak-Indo wars. Every time at the end "give & take" takes place and some "ifs & buts" remain unanswered but for the greater cause full stop is marked.
So in a nutshell we as a nation need to clear our minds and identify who are Taliban amongst us having beards or even beardless, whether living in N.Waziristan, Lahore or Karachi and foster tolerance and forbearance. And finally need to remember that TALKS PREVAIL AFTER WARS.
