Unquestioning Submission To Khilafat
أَفَلَا
يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى الْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ
Will they not then consider the
camels, how they are created?
وَإِلَى
السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ
And the heaven, how it is reared
aloft?
وَإِلَى
الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ
And the mountains, how they are firmly
fixed?
وَإِلَى
الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ
And the earth, how it is made a
vast expanse?
Promised Messiah AS expounded
obedience to Khilafat and spiritual leadership with reference to these verses.
Camel has been taken as example because of its characteristics which other
animals do not have, features are:
1- Traveling in a line, behind
one leader, which shows their sense of obedience. Thus lays emphasis on obedience
and the need of Imam to maintain unity.
2- Stores water for long
journeys. Similarly true believers should be ready for their final journey by
having provisions and best provision is righteousness,
خير الزادالتقوى.
3- It is an animal that is used
for transportation n carrying goods, thus symbolizes patience, tolerance and
endurance. Likewise true believers should demonstrate steadfastness and
endurance.
So true believers are admonished
to nurture these features in themselves.
Although today only Ahmadis are
real embodiment of these verses in the guidance of Khilafat. But we all need to
enhance our levels of obedience to absolute obedience with no strings attached
and without personal definitions of obedience.
One tradition states:
الإمام
جُنّةٌ يقاتل من وراءه
Imam
is like a shield and safety is in staying behind it.
And being behind means perfect
obedience.
First of all office holders need
to understand the concept of obedience so that the members of Jama'at may
appear as a straight line of camels. Moreover obedience should be instant
without hesitation and construing own meanings.
Secondly there is a great
difference between Khilafat and dictatorship/worldly leadership. Huzoor's (May
Allah be his Helper) all explanation regarding this point could be summed up in
his one sentence from recent Friday Sermon:
"There
is no country in the world that I do not go to in my imagination before falling
asleep and for whom I do not pray while sleeping and while waking."
Furthermore members of Jama'at
should refrain from defining Ma'roof themselves. Huzoor (May Allah be his
Helper) said let it be clear that Ma'roof has been defined by God and his
Messenger (Peace be upon him) and now only Khilafat is authorized, and being
Devine Khilafat it does not operate contrary to Quran and Sunnah.
So in a nutshell there is no
option but to obey Khilafat and its time that everyone of us assesses own ground
that where do we stand whether we conform willingly to Khilafat or not, and
pledge once again unconditional n unfaltering obedience to Khilafat.
Promised Messiah (AS) said in
this regard:
"Spiritual
endeavors are not needed as much as obedience is."
So obedience obedience obedience
nothing but obedience, only then we will attain spiritual acme like the heights
of skies and strong faith like firm mountains.
May Allah enable us to practice
unquestioning obedience to Khilafat and match our pulses with him. Ameen
